Believing

As I read through the Bible there are countless stories in which the end result seemed impossible. However, the God we serve is able to bring about the impossible. Just as with Joseph , in spite of envy, rejection, and an evil attempt to take his life by his own brothers, he was reconciled to them. God did so much more with Joseph’s story he became a type of Christ, a foreshadowing of Jesus. This reuniting of his family saved them in a time of famine and gave Israel the means to grow as a nation. This increase in offspring fulfills God’s promise to Abraham. Moses then through many miracles brings the children out of Egypt and into the Promised Land. All of these events preparation for even more miracles to come.

Even in my own life I have seen a relationship torn and broken for a period of five years. Then the impossible happened this year, and that relationship was resurrected and we were reunited. I’ve had opportunities which seemed loss to me become real and I’m walking in them through the power of Jesus. You may be trusting Jesus to bring about something in your life or maybe you’ve even given up hope. Be encouraged the Bible says in Luke 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible. Mark 10:27 says And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

We can cling to the Author of the promises and hope in Him. The ultimate act to mend our relationship with a Holy God was made complete in the death and resurrection of Jesus. God wants more than to leave us in our sin separated from him as enemies. He has saved us from our sin and it’s consequences, to love us in a personal intimate way, making the impossible possible.

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6
