We Dance

Have you ever contemplated the purpose of your life? There are many days when I wonder, how can I live this life? I sometimes have a hard time truly seeing measures of substantial success in my life. When I am in this frame of mind I can sometimes falter in my faith; then I am reminded success is a human measure. So, what does God see as success? John 15 states that believers are to abide in the true vine, Jesus, and then we will produce fruit, which will bring glory to God. It seems God is more concerned with our obedience to His word, time spent with Him, sharing the gospel, and simply resting in Him.

Because each of us are created for His purpose and glory, success and achievement will not look the same from person to person. Do not underestimate God’s design in your life just because it doesn’t meet our human standards of success.

The song “We Dance” and an encouraging message from a sister in Christ came to me at just the right time. The lyrics so well-crafted and her sweet message reassured me that God’s plan for my life is special, unique, and intended for the glory of my Savior Jesus Christ. I had to change my focus and see my life through God’s eyes not my human sight.

If you are discontent with your life, feel you are not making progress, and success eludes you why not trust Jesus as your Savior today? If you already know Him be encouraged that He has designed your life to gloriously dance before Him. In every step and breath, we are confident that God’s plans for our lives will bring Him glory which is far greater than any human measure of success.

Scriptures to reference:

Matthew 16: 24-26 “Then Jesus said to His disciples, If anyone desires to come after Me, let Him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole words, and loses his own soul? Or what will man give in exchange for his soul?”

2 Corinthians 3:18, Jeremiah 29: 11, Ephesians 2: 10
